A letter to the editor:
As President Barack Obama has repeatedly spoken about his desire to "reduce the need for abortion,"many will debate over which policy is best. However, I believe that there is one voice that is not being heard in this discussion. Therefore, I want to share with you an article written by Melinda Delahoyde. Melinda serves as president of Care Net, a national network of 1,160 pregnancy centers across North America.
Sincerely,

Letter expressing concern over the pro-abortion policies of the Obama Administration
[This letter is intended as a template to help you advocate pro-life values in your community. Please feel free to use it as is, or to modify it to match your own opinions.]
A letter to the editor:
Though President Obama has repeatedly spoken about his desire to "reduce the need for abortion," his recent decision to provide "free" abortions in Washington, D.C., will have the opposite effect.
According to the Guttmacher Institute, a close ally of Planned Parenthood, "free" taxpayer-funded abortions will significantly increase abortions. With already an estimated 1.2 million abortions already occur in the U.S. annually, the current health care proposal would increase abortion and mandate its coverage in every health care plan. Yet President Obama and numerous Administration officials have made clear that it is their goal.
When the potential loss of life numbers into the millions, it's easy to forget that each one really represents a child with unlimited potential, and a woman who will never be the same.
Pregnancy centers are known as the "compassion wing of the pro-life movement," and they work. After receiving the help of a pregnancy center, nine out of ten women served are empowered to carry their pregnancy to term, according to statistics gathered by Care Net, a network of 1,160 centers. The secret of their success is the compassionate, nonjudgmental support of volunteers who serve as mentors to women facing unplanned pregnancies - walking with them every step of the way.
That's why I hope pro-life leaders in both parties, and Americans in general will acknowledge the life-saving work of pregnancy centers, and vigorously oppose this tragic attack on life.
Sincerely,
